"2003" year swatch underneath manufacturer's tag. "MARTINEZ" on plate on reverse, above his #45. Numbers on back are buckling from wear and washing, and, as you can see in my photo below, the tags are curled. Also has PROPER expanded sleeves with extra material sewn into both armpit areas.  This is a practice started in 2001 by Martinez, after ML hitters complained about his cut sleeves flapping as his 97 mph fastball came towards them.  Pedro would wear these jerseys with the extra material on the day he pitched; his other days in between starts sitting on the bench, he wore a regular Red Sox jersey with unaltered sleeves.  I know this because I have been watching about 140-150 BoSox games a year since 1986.  See two photos below of Petey wearing a customized jersey on the mound in 2003.  This is a very tough jersey to find, hence my price (which is flexible).    This jersey was obtained by me from another hobby veteran with excellent sources for contemporary material.
